Blaze Emergency Equipment provides quality maintenance programs to help avoid costly repairs and keeping all your apparatus and equipment up and running in a state of readiness. We come prepared to service your fire apparatus at your station or, if necessary, move your equipment to our facility centrally located off of Route 9 in Ocean County, NJ.
While there is no guarantee that a truck will start every time the tones sound, a good maintenance program is the best way to avoid costly repairs and keep all apparatus and equipment in a state of response readiness. Our service crew can handle anything that comes their way 24/7. There are several different programs that may be used, based on the individual piece of equipment, activity and geographic location, as recommended by the NFPA 1911 Standard for the Inspection, Maintenance, Testing, and Retirement of In-Service Fire Apparatus, 2007 edition.
Administrative and ambulance vehicle maintenance should be based on miles and rotated for preventive maintenance on a 3,000 to 5,000-mile interval. Schedule your pumpers, towers, heavy rescues, hazmat units and quints for preventative maintenance on quarterly intervals based on the level of call activity and training time. Wildland units, tenders and most reserves may be scheduled for maintenance once a year, based on the location and activity of the unit.

Oil Level, Oil Filters, Oil Leaks, Cooling System Fluid Levels, Coolant Filter, Coolant System Hose’s, Coolant Tested, Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Belts, Motor Mounts, Exhaust System, Air Compressor Filter, Air System and Drains, Emergency Shutdown and Shutter Operation.
2. Chassis
Lube Chassis, Clutch Linkage, Check Drive Line, Differential Fluid Level, Gaskets and Seals, Mounting Bolts/Body, Axle Studs and Nuts, Springs and U Bolts, Shackle Pins, Shock Absorbers, Tires, Wheels and Lube Nuts, Fuel Tank, Power Steering Fluid Level/Filter/Pump, Hose and Filters, Drag Link and Asst. Cylinder, Tie Rod Ends, King Pins, Steering Gear Box Assembly and Gear Box Mounting Bolts.
3. Transmission
